Tool Sign-In and Authorization:

Sign tools in and out with a PIT crew member, both orally and in writing. Tools should not be removed from the shop without proper authorization. Unauthorized removal of tools is considered theft.

Reporting Broken Tools and Machines:

Promptly notify the PIT crew of any broken tools or machines. Reporting such issues immediately helps ensure timely repairs or replacements.

Temporary Storage Permission:

The PIT is not intended for storage purposes. If you require temporary storage for a project or parts, seek permission from a PIT crew member before proceeding.

Reporting Injuries:

Immediately report all injuries, regardless of severity, to a PIT crew member. Afterwards, proceed to the Occupational Health Services offices for necessary follow-up. In case of emergencies, contact the Campus Emergency number at 1111 (212-327-1111 from a cell phone).
