Flow Cytometry Analysis Workstations
The Flow Cytometry Resource Center (FCRC) provides the Rockefeller University researchers with multiple analysis workstations dedicated for the analysis of Flow Cytometry data. There are five “Analysis PC” workstations and two “Aurora-Client” workstations with Windows 7 OS or Windows 10 OS, with multiple Flow Cytometry analysis software packages installed. All FCRC Analysis Workstations are available for booking via the PPMS system for usage free of charge, 24/7.
The installed software on workstations is listed on FCRC Instruments and Analysis Workstations.
FlowJo:
FCRC has three workstations where the FlowJo software is installed: Analysis PC2, Aurora-Client1 and Aurora-Client2, which can be used to analysis FCS files exported from any flow cytometry instrument. FCRC also has one FlowJo dongle, which researchers could ask from FCRC staff and use on your personal computer for two hours or overnight (free of charge) after registration.
The help of Software Troubleshooting can be requested through PPMS system by filling up the FCRC-PPMS Request Form F4.

FCS Express:
FCRC has three workstations where the FCS Express software is installed: Analysis PC3, Aurora-Client1 and Aurora-Client2, which can be used to analysis FCS files exported from any flow cytometry instrument. FCRC also has site license for De Novo Software FCS Express 7 for researchers to download and install on your personal computers for both MAC and PC OS. FCS Express is a user friendly, fully integrated analysis, statistics, graphing and reporting tool for your Flow Cytometry data. The FCS Express site license purchased by FCRC covers 25 seats. The rates will depend on the level of overall RU usage (calculated Quarterly), and will range from $0 (if not exceed the number of seats already paid by FCRC) to max $50 per Quarter (three-month period).
In order to get registration approved and use FCS Express, all users have to fill the “PPMS account creation form” to get registered at PPMS for the Flow Cytometry Resource Center (FCRC-PPMS System).
To receive access and to install FCS Express 7 please follow the steps below:
- VISIT: https://www.denovosoftware.com/RegisterForSiteLicense/?SignupCode=FCRC. If you do not have a De Novo Software account, please register for one
- LOGIN: with your De Novo Software Account Credential
- Wait for APPROVAL: (note it may take 24 hours depending on the availability of the FCRC Staff to review and approve your request)
- DOWNLOAD and INSTALL: follow the FCS Express Installation Instructions
- ANALYZE: Enter your De Novo Software account credential when prompted to start analyzing in FCS Express
