BD LSR-Fortessa

BD LSR-Fortessa offers the ultimate in choice for flow cytometry, providing power, performance and consistency. Designed to be affordable and expandable, the BD LSR-Fortessa™ System has the flexibility to support the expanding needs of multicolor flow cytometry assays. The system is an innovative and proven platform for multicolor analysis with its powerful fluidics systems and novel optics design, all of which work to maximize signal and enable minimum cross talk.

In FCRC, the BD LSR-Fortessa is configured with 355 nm, 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm and 640 nm lasers and can detect up to 18 colors. The electronics digitize signals 10 million times per second in 16,384 discrete levels. This expands channel resolution and increases detection sensitivity. Electronic dead time is eliminated; more precise fluorescent measurements can be made improving linearity, compensation, and quantitation of fluorescence measurements. Flexible and modular for future upgrades. Instrument is equipped with BD High Throughput Sampler (HTS) to accommodate 96-well plates.
