Sample preparation guidelines
The Center has and continues to develop guidelines for various sample types. The guidelines are not Standard Operating Procedures but meant to give the users an idea about how to prepare samples prior to drop off. Some of the guidelines are very specific while others are general. The guidelines are often a concentrate of our users’ successful experiments. Guidelines are updated as we learn new things and and more will be added when possible.
- Preparation of polar metabolite samples from cell culture.
- Guideline for extraction of non-polar metabolites from tissue (based on report by Folch, J. 1957. Note: this guideline can also be used to extract polar metabolites when saving the water/methanol layer).
- Guideline for extraction of polar metabolites from serum.
- Guideline for the extraction of non-polar and polar metabolites from adherent or suspension cell culture.
- Guideline for the extraction of non-polar and polar metabolites from serum.
- Guideline for Two-Phase based extraction of non-polar metabolites from cells (based on report by Matyash, V. 2008).
- Guideline for Two-Phase based extraction of non-polar metabolites from serum (based on report by Matyash, V. 2008).
- Guideline for Two-Phase based extraction of non-polar metabolites from tissue (based on report by Matyash, V. 2008).
- Preparation of Nucleoside samples.
