Ted Rosenthal is one of the leading jazz pianists and composers of his generation, touring worldwide both as a soloist and with his trio. Winner of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition, he has performed with jazz legends including Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Bob Brookmeyer, and James Moody. His performances have earned praise from The New York Times, which described his playing as “notable both for its flair and languid, sultry expressive gestures.” Mr. Rosenthal holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. Active in jazz education, he serves on the faculties of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, where he also served on the Board of Trustees and received the Presidential Medal for Distinguished Faculty Service.
