Ford Center for Life Science Innovation

Despite being one of the densest and most productive biomedical environments in the world, the upper east side of Manhattan has historically had no local biotech incubator space.

To support the development of new companies emerging from university laboratories, Rockefeller is gut renovating three floors of the Bronk Laboratory Building as a translational research accelerator.

The Ford Center for Life Science Innovation is a novel initiative that will provide incubator space for 15 to 20 start-up companies. It will also be the new home of the Sanders Tri-Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute.

Funded by generous donations from Rockefeller trustees Bill Ford, Lew Sanders, and Russ Carson, this crucial venture will foster synergy between innovative research, translational science, and entrepreneurship.
