Make a Gift NowPartners in Discovery, the philanthropic program of Women & Science, has raised more than $50 million for talented women pursuing careers in the sciences at The Rockefeller University. Donors to Partners in Discovery have established the Rebecca C. Lancefield Professorship for a senior woman scientist, funded educational opportunities for young women in Rockefeller’s summer research programs for high school and college students, and created seed funds for research related to cancer, neuroscience, and global health. More recently, the initiative has launched the Kellen Women’s Entrepreneurship Fund to ensure that every Rockefeller scientist who wants to realize the therapeutic potential of her discoveries has the resources to do so.

Supporters have also contributed more than $5 million for a Fund for Interdisciplinary Research on Breast Cancer, and in 2015 raised more than $2 million to establish a Fund to Recruit Women Faculty. Women & Science has also provided crucial support for more than 200 postdoctoral and graduate fellowships and underwritten the cost of initiatives to fund the Child and Family Center, career development, and pre-Ph.D. education.

Donors of $500 and above will be listed in printed materials.  Donors of $1,000 and above will be invited to special University events including Insight Lectures and the Lewis Thomas Prize for Writing About Science. For more information, please contact us.

Contributions to the University are deductible for federal income and gift tax purposes as provided in applicable sections of the Internal Revenue Code.
