Obesity is the most common chronic disease, affecting more than 800 million people worldwide. Obesity is associated with increased risk of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, sleep disorders, and cancer. This lecture will review the pathogenesis of obesity, effective therapies and future directions.
