CRISPR & Genome Editing Services

  • Mouse genomic knock-out & knock-in

  • Mouse conditional knock-out

Targeted genomic alteration is achieved by homologous recombination of a targeting vector with mouse genomic DNA in ES cells. Investigators will prepare the targeting vector, engineered according to each experimental design. However, we strongly encourage investigators contact us at the earliest stage of a gene-targeting project so we can assist in the design of a high quality vector. Our experience shows that this is often crucial to the success of the project. All targeting vectors submitted to GTRC need to be approved by the GTRC Director.

Guidelines for a successful targeting project

Materials required for submitting a gene-targeting project

Derivation of Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells

Establishing new ES lines for gene targeting services
Establishing ES lines from mutant mouse embryos
The priority of this service is to produce new ES lines that will improve the efficiency and performance of gene targeting experiments for research investigators. We are also deriving homozygous mutant ES lines or ES lines of specific genetic backgrounds on a collaborative basis.

ES Cell Maintenance

Preparing ES cells introduced from off campus resources for injection or other application
Assisting in embryoid body culture and in vitro differentiation of ES cells
Quality Control of Vector DNA for Transgenic Production
Purification and evaluation of DNA for pronuclear injection

Guidelines for submitting transgenic vectors
