Speaker bio(s)

Flora Lichtman is the multimedia editor at National Public Radio's "Science Friday," where she makes videos for the web and chats about them on the radio. She's the co-author of Annoying: The Science Of What Bugs Us (Wiley, 2011) — unfortunately a topic of deep personal interest — and writes regularly for Popular Science magazine. Before coming to Science Friday, Flora worked at a NATO oceanographic lab in Italy, where she cruised around the Mediterranean Sea looking for marine mammals. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in Environmental Studies. In this lecture Ms. Lichtman will talk about how she uses digital media to make complicated science digestible (and delicious).
