The integration of acoustic elements: frequency, amplitude, time and spatiality, form the basis for how sound affects us.  Since ancient times, sound and music have been used with great purpose to influence man. More recently, in the last seventy years, ongoing technological and scientific advances have enabled the development of sound-based methods for clinical applications in healthcare and as an educational approach.

Beginning with its introduction of The Listening Program in 1999, Advanced Brain Technologies, a leader in applied psychoacoustics and music cognition, has been combining artistry, musicianship, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration with technological innovations to record and produce music-based methods specifically created to improve and support brain function to benefit humanity.

This event will introduce inTime, a new and innovative rhythm-based music listening method comprised entirely of an organic compilation of original compositions, based on a blend of world music with diverse percussion, string, and wind instrumentation, which accents the power of rhythm and sound frequencies.

This will be New York debut of inTime and will include a panel discussion and live musical performance. The history, rationale, and clinical applications of this innovative program will be discussed by its creators; occupational therapist Sheila Allen, master ethno percussionist and composer Nacho Arimany; author, founder and CEO of Advanced Brain Technologies, Alex Doman. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Kamran Fallahpour, director of Brain Resource Center New York, neuroscientist and clinical psychologist.
