2023 Lewis Thomas Prize for Writing about Science

The 2023 awardee, Suzanne Simard, is a forest ecologist and author of Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest. She receives Rockefeller’s science writing award for her book on the underground networks of forests and their far-reaching implications on climate change.
