Congratulations to our latest award winners:

Research associate Richard Hite and postdoctoral fellow John Maciejowski are two of this year’s four winners of the 2016 Tri-Institutional Breakout Awards for Junior Investigators. The prize, established last year by three Tri-Institutional winners of the 2013 Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, recognizes promising young scientists from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Rockefeller. Dr. Hite, of Roderick MacKinnon’s Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology and Biophysics, and Dr. Maciejowski, of Titia de Lange’s Laboratory for Cell Biology and Genetics, each received $25,000 and were celebrated at a Tri-Institutional symposium and luncheon on June 6.

Priscilla C. Olsen has been selected as a Pew Latin American Fellow. The Pew Latin American Fellows Program supports outstanding biomedical scholars from Central and South America to advance research in their countries. Fellows pursue postdoctoral studies with distinguished mentors in the United States. Dr. Olsen, a native of Brazil, will join Michel Nussenzweig’s Laboratory of Molecular Immunology.
