This annual lecture is named in honor of Marguerite S. Lederberg, MD, who was deeply interested in clinical research as well as the bioethical implications of clinical studies. Dr. Lederberg was a pioneer in the field of psycho-oncology. In tribute to her memory, her children established The Marguerite S. Lederberg Annual Lecture in the Seminars in Clinical Research series at The Rockefeller University Hospital to create a permanent legacy to their mother’s love of science and medicine.
