About the Marlene Hess Center
The Marlene Hess Center for Research on Women’s Health and Biomedicine was established by a generous donation from Trustee Marlene Hess. This donation has provided the funding for promising foundational research into sex differences in health and biomedicine.
The center is directed by Agata Smogorzewska, who also heads the Laboratory of Genome Maintenance at Rockefeller University.
