Instructions for Mac users with Microsoft Office X and above.

To download templates:

Firefox is the preferred browser to access and dowload the templates.

  1. Click the template you wish to use.
  2. Follow the prompt and save it onto your desktop.
  3. Open the downloaded template in MS Word.
  4. Under File, select Save As and save it into your My Templates folder:
    Hard Drive/Applications/MS Office/Templates/My Templates
Attention Safari Users:

Instructions for Safari with Panther (10.3.x)

  1. Hold down the option key
  2. Click on the link
OR
  1. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key
  2. Click on the link
  3. Select "Download Linked File" from the menu

Instructions for Safari with Tiger (10.4.x)

  1. Hold down the option key
  2. Click on the link
OR
  1. Hold down the Control (CTRL) key
  2. Click on the link
  3. Select "Download Linked File" from the menu
  4. Find the downloaded file (usually on the desktop)
  5. Click on the file once to highlight it
  6. Press Return/Enter key on the keyboard (this will highlight just the file name)
  7. Manually delete the .txt from the end of the name, leaving .dot at the end
  8. A message will appear, asking "Are you sure you want to change the extension from '.txt' to '.dot'? If you make this change, your document may open in a different application."
  9. Click on "Use .dot"
  10. Double-click the file, which should open Microsoft Word

To create a new MS Word document using the template:
  1. Open MS Word.
  2. Under the File menu, go to Project Gallery and then select My Templates.
  3. Double-click the specific template you need.
  4. Under the File Menu, choose Save As and rename the document.

The logo may not appear clearly on your monitor in downloaded files, but should print clearly.
