Postdoctoral Position in Neurobiology of Alzheimer’s Disease

The Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology is searching for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow or research associate (with a PhD) interested in studying the neurobiology of Alzheimer’s disease in animal models along with potential novel therapeutic interventions.  Candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology and have experience with the following techniques: DNA/RNA isolation, cellular fractionation, western blot, PCR/qRT-PCR, in situ-hybridization, immunohistochemical labeling.  Candidates will also be responsible for maintaining a large colony of transgenic mice to be used for molecular and behavioral experiments.  An interest in neurodegeneration will be highly valued.  A demonstrated track record of self-motivation, ability to work independently at the bench, enthusiasm, and scientific rigor is necessary.  Interested candidates should send a cover letter describing their scientific interests and qualifications, their curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three professional references to Dr. Ana Pereira –
