SNP Student Nomination
The application for SNP requires two online forms to be filled out. One is an application that is filled out by the student. The second is a nomination from a teacher or mentor. Links to both forms are below. Please note that incomplete applications (missing either form) will not be considered.
Teachers and Mentors: Nominate a Student
The Summer Neuroscience Program (SNP) brings young men and women to The Rockefeller University for two weeks in August to participate in a free course about the brain. Professors and graduate students will offer a challenging and lively class aimed at introducing students to neuroscience. Metrocards and food will be provided throughout the program. We seek motivated, mature, and inquisitive students, irrespective of previous scholastic achievement or interest level in science. We’re not necessarily looking for “straight A” students; we’re looking for distinctive, curious students—whether they’re shy or outgoing. Applicants will be screened and a subset will be contacted by the SNP directors to arrange an interview. Approximately 16 students will be selected to participate in SNP.
Students: How to get Nominated
Interested students should approach a teacher or mentor to nominate them for the program. Note that you must also fill out the student application in addition to getting nominated. Links to the application form and nomination form are below. Please contact us at email@example.com with any concerns or if you do not have someone to nominate you.
The SNP 2018 deadline for nominations is 5 PM, Friday, March 23rd, 2018.
