Subject: Revised face-covering policy while indoors

Dear Rockefeller University community members,

On behalf of the University’s Research Restart Committee, I am writing with an update on the campus face-covering policy. As described in the email from President Lifton to the community last Friday, positive COVID-19 cases continue to increase in the city and on campus. Unfortunately, both of those trends have continued this week. In addition, the CDC issued new guidelines for face covering yesterday, in the context of rising rates nationwide and evidence of increased infectiousness of the Delta variant.

Effective immediately, all Rockefeller/HHMI employees and students are required to wear a face covering everywhere indoors on campus, with exceptions noted in the policy.

There is no change in policy for vendors or unvaccinated individuals, who must continue to wear a face covering at all times on campus, both indoors and outdoors.

If you have any questions about this announcement, please send an email to restart@rockefeller.edu

Thank you very much and please take care,

Tim
