Set amid gardens on a 15-acre campus, enhanced
by the design of renowned landscape architect Dan Kiley, the university
is a gem in all seasons, with blossoming azalea bushes in the spring,
fountains and carpets of flowers in the summer, colorful foliage
in the fall, and snow-and ice-covered trees in the winter.
The campus consists
of 19 buildings, including eight research buildings, two student
residences, guest rooms and faculty residences. There are dining
and sports facilities on campus, including tennis and squash courts,
a fitness training room and a large auditorium for scientific lectures,
whose excellent acoustics provide an attractive venue for regular
concerts and films. The Faculty and Students Club is a gathering
place where faculty, students and their guests can socialize.
