Organismal Biology, Evolution, Ethology and Ecology

Several labs focus on studies of the biology of vertebrate and invertebrate organisms and plants, as well as on the evolution of species over time. Looking at genetic and molecular biology from the perspective of entire organisms, societies and ecosystems reveals how complex traits and behaviors develop and how disorders in individuals may affect populations in unexpected ways. Several scientists working in these areas conduct field research throughout the world in order to understand the impact of animal or
societal behavior in natural environments.
