Disaster plans buffer some of the impact

The Rockefeller University community has reached out in numerous ways to help the people of New York City whose lives have been so dramatically affected by the September 11 World Trade Center tragedy. Rockefeller continues to show that it cares by:

establishing an educational fund for children of local firefighters, police officers and emergency medical service workers;

committing to regular blood collection drives on campus;
sponsoring special lectures and other events on campus related to the tragedy;
and providing scientists, students and staff with information about how they can continue to help as individuals.
