Clarinetist Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr and her husband, violinist Walter Verdehr, along with pianist Gary Kirkpatrick, have performed a unique service in popularizing this unusual and rewarding instrumental combination through their concertizing and teaching, and by commissioning and performing a steady flow of new compositions from leading composers of our time.
