1996 International Science and Engineering Fair

March 14 and 15, 1996

Winners of the New York City regional competition of the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held at The Rockefeller University, New York City, March 14 and 15, 1996. First and second place individual winners and the first place team winners will compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair, May 5 to 11 in Tucson, Ariz. Third and fourth place winners receive paid summer internships at Rockefeller, a graduate institution specializing in biomedical research.

In addition to the top awards, judges presented certificates in each subject category for best, high honors and honors. The student projects comprise research in 23 different categories, including behavioral and social sciences, cell biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, genetics, mathematics, microbiology and physics.
