The University's Preparedness and Response Plan

The Rockefeller University Safety Committee (RUS) has appointed a subcommittee to review and make recommendations for the University's plans for pandemic illnesses, including flu. The University has taken some significant steps to prepare the University for a pandemic influenza event. The planning is on going and involves critical personnel and departments throughout the University.

An influenza pandemic, or threat of one, will trigger certain pre-established preparedness and response actions, as defined under the University Disaster Plan, including activation of the command center, establishment of the relief information center, and issuance of preparedness and response communication, including the use of the University's critical information website.

During an influenza pandemic, the University's primary goals will be:

Planning Assumptions
Preparedness and Mitigation
Cancellations/Closures/Restrictions
Business and Operation Continuity
