Teaching Opportunities for Scientists

The Science Outreach Program (SOP) aims to engage K-12 students and teachers with hands-on, mentored science activities that enhance the understanding of fundamental scientific principles, instill a passion for the process of scientific inquiry, and introduce biological wonder through discovery-based learning. Through these programs, research assistants, graduate students, postdocs, and other interested members of the local scientific community can gain valuable experience for the purposes of professional development in the areas of science outreach, education, and communication.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic scientists to volunteer as teachers and facilitators for our professional development workshops, Outreach Days, and other educational initiatives. Please fill out the form below to share your information with us, and we will be in touch with you if we have an opportunity that matches your skills and interests. We look forward to hearing from you!
