Glasswashing Services provides The Rockefeller University Laboratories with the following services:

• Quality and efficient glassware washing, baking, and autoclaving free of cost.
• Assistance in the maintenance and use of autoclaves.

Glassware:
The facility provides pick up and delivery glassware service directly to the laboratory, generally as a same day service. Services routinely available include washing, drying, baking, sterilization, pipette plugging, and autoclaving of liquids.

Glasswashing Services is equipped with four automatic glasswashers that have a combined capacity of 43 cubic feet. We run six to eight cycles on each machine during the workday. The three autoclaves have sufficient capacity to accommodate the full runs of the four washers. In addition, Glasswashing Services has two driers and two sterilizer ovens for baking glassware at high temperatures.

Glasswashing Services is available for regular, ongoing arrangements as well as provision of temporary and emergency backup services for Laboratories when their staff is on vacation or equipment is down for servicing.
