JAISWAL 2003A Video 1: Starting four hours after starvation brightfield and epifluorescence images were taken once every second, for the field shown in Figure 3. The bright field and epifluorescence images were combined and the movie was played at 5 frames per second.

The cells described in Figure 6A were imaged continuously for 14 hours using the excitation light source (470/40nm) and 590nm LP emission filter. One hour after plating the cells, images were acquired once every minute for the entire period of development. The pseudo colored fluorescent images were overlaid on the bright field images to generate the movie which is played at the rate of 10 frames per second. The time stamp on the top right hand corner indicates the time elapsed since the start of the imaging.

The cells described in Figure 6B were imaged continuously for 8 hours using a single excitation light source (470/40 nm) and multiple emission filters. One hour after plating the QD labeled cells, images were acquired at intervals of 2 minutes. Green (520 nm), yellow (570 nm) and red (613 nm) QD labeled cells were pseudo colored blue, green and yellow respectively. The pseudo colored images were overlaid on the bright field images to generate the movie which is played at the rate of 10 frames per second. The time stamp on the top right hand corner indicates the time elapsed since the start of the imaging.
