The International Research Foundation for Children's Eye Care, Inc. was created in New York in 1993 by
Princess Marianne Bernadotte of Sweden
, as a result of her determination to provide significant funds for research and
other means of improving vision in children. The Foundation is engaged in the promotion of advanced research
and clincial study of eye disease and defects in visual development found in children around the world. The causes
of many of these diseases are unknown and are a great challenge for pediatric ophthalmologists.

parties interested in helping to support the efforts of the Foundation should contact
