FCRC Data Storage Instructions
  • Temporary data storage in the FCRC is allowed ONLY on the FCRC Data machine within the Shared Data folder.

  • Please place all your data files in the subfolder named in the following format

  • YOUR NAME_EXTENSION_LAB (e.g. Svetlana_7656_FCRC). As soon as we will experience shortage in space, earlier stored data will be removed without announcement (we can count probably on 2-3 month data storage). All data should be backed-up to your own storage spaces.

  • All FCRC computers are equipped with CD, ZIP or JAZ disk drives and are hooked to the Ethernet. Please use removable ZIP/JAZ disks or connect via Ethernet to your own computer to store all data important to you.

  • Now you have new option to store data using CDs. "Analysis 1" computer has LaCie CD-RW Drive to burn CDs quickly and easily.
Note: After files are dragged to CD burner application interface, before recording them, make sure you choose to finalize session. Don't finalize CD as a Record Method. This way you will be able to continue adding data do the same CD.
