For use of the light microscopes, the initial training session should be booked directly with Alison. Once fully trained, users are then free to book the microscopes according to their needs. We will arrange with security to activate your Rockefeller University card so that you can enter the facility outside hours (the doors are unlocked between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm). Should any instrument become heavily booked, restrictions will be introduced to ensure that as many users as possible can be accommodated. To ensure equal access for new and experienced users we do not put up the booking sheets more than a week in advance: however, if you are planning a long-term experiment with critical timing, contact us in advance to ensure that there will be time available on the required microscope.
Bookings for the fluorescence microscopes are currently made by signing the sheet on the door of the relevant microscope room in DWB 201.
Bookings for the EM service are made directly with Helen and Eleana or by sign-up in the EM service (RRB 120).

Cancellation policies
In consideration for our other users, who may wish to use the microscopes at the same time as you, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice of any cancellations, either by phoning us or by crossing your booking off the sheet. If you fail to turn up without prior notice your time slot will be forfeit after 30 minutes and somebody else may use the microscope. In times of heavy usage we will also reserve the right to charge users for no-show bookings.
